At Akazila Inc., we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use Alkanzo.
1. Introduction
Welcome to Alkanzo.ai
Akazila Inc.(“us”, “we”, or “our”) provides the Alkanzo creative and video production service through alkanzo.com, alkanzo.ai, and related apps.
Our Privacy Policy governs your visit and usage of the Alkanzo website and apps, and explains how we collect, safeguard and disclose information that results from your use of our Service.
We use your data to provide and improve our Service. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.
Our Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all use of our Service and together with the Privacy Policy constitutes your agreement with us (“agreement”).
2. Definitions
SERVICE means the Alkanzo services provided through alkanzo.com, alkanzo.ai, and related apps.
PERSONAL DATA means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).
USAGE DATA is data collected automatically either generated by the use of Service or from Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
COOKIES are small files stored on your device (computer or mobile device).
DATA CONTROLLER means a natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal data are, or are to be, processed. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we are a Data Controller of your data.
DATA PROCESSORS (OR SERVICE PROVIDERS) means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller. We may use the services of various Service Providers in order to process your data more effectively.
DATA SUBJECT is any living individual who is the subject of Personal Data.
THE USER is the individual using our Service. The User corresponds to the Data Subject, who is the subject of Personal Data.
3. Information Collection and Use
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.
4. Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
While using our Service, we may ask for your consent to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
• Email address
We may use your Personal Data for providing you with the services offered via our apps and website and generating invoices. We may use your Personal Data to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials, important updates related to usage of service, transactions, invoicing, feature releases, and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link.
Account and authentication data
We use Firebase Authentication (including email verification codes and, when enabled, Google and Microsoft sign-in) to create and manage accounts. Authentication providers process identifiers needed to sign you in.
Creative, Team Drive, and Kaaya content
When you use our Service, we collect and process content you submit or generate in order to provide Alkanzo, including:
• Prompts, story plans, drafts, and related metadata
• Uploaded reference images and other Team Drive files
• Kaaya library reference images and appearance attributes
• Generated image and video artifacts (part videos, stitches, thumbnails, and related stills)
• Team membership and billing-team associations used to allocate Creative Production credits
This content is necessary to provide core service functionality (draft editing, generation, storage, playback, and team collaboration) and to measure and improve the Service.
Usage Data
We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access Service by or through any device (“Usage Data”).
This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When you access Service with a device, this Usage Data may include information such as the type of device you use, your device unique ID, the IP address of your device, your device operating system, the type of Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to collect and analyze Usage Data about how users interact with our Service. Google Analytics may collect information about your browsing habits, device information, and interactions with our website. This information helps us understand user behavior and improve our Service. We may also record asset-access events (for example when stored media is read, written, or deleted) to operate billing, security, and product analytics. Those access events are retained for approximately 180 days.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and administer our Site, gather usage data on our Site, support authentication sessions, and improve your experience. A “cookie” is a piece of information sent to your browser by a website you visit. Cookies can be stored on your computer for different periods of time. Some cookies expire after a certain amount of time, or upon logging out (session cookies); others persist until a defined expiration date.
5. Use of Data
Akazila Inc. uses the collected data for various purposes:
• To provide and maintain our Service
• To generate videos, images, story plans, and related creative artifacts you request
• To store drafts, Team Drive files, Kaaya references, and generated media
• To notify you about changes to our Service
• To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so
• To provide customer support
• To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our Service
• To monitor the usage of our Service
• To detect, prevent and address technical issues
• To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it
• To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection of Creative Production credits
• To provide you with notices about your account, credit packs, automatic top-up, and expiry of generated media
• To provide you with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about unless you have opted not to receive such information
• Generating invoices for credit packs purchased for using our services
• For any other purpose with your consent
Aggregated Information
We may aggregate and anonymize Personal Data as well as behavioral data and use the aggregated information to analyze the effectiveness of our Service, to improve and add features to our Service, and for other similar purposes. In addition, from time to time, we may analyze the general behavior and characteristics of users of our Services and share aggregated information like general user statistics. We may collect aggregated information through the Service, through cookies, and through other means described in this Privacy Policy.
Transactional and Marketing Emails
We may use your email address to contact you to tell you about updates to the Alkanzo service, send transactional emails depending upon your interactions with the app (for example when a creation or story plan is ready, or when generated media is approaching expiry), send you information via email, introduce features and benefits of using them, promote new releases, or support you with your existing account. You may opt out of receiving marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions contained in each email we send you, or by emailing us at hello@app.alkanzo.ai.
6. Retention of Data
We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
Generated creative media (image and video artifacts under a creation, including part videos, stitches, thumbnails, preceding-part tails, and non-Kaaya story-plan / layer-1 stills) is retained for 180 days from the creation’s creation date. A daily job then permanently deletes expired files (trash, then permanent delete in Team Drive). There is no restore after 180 days and no credit refund for expired media. Creation folders are not deleted by that job and are not deletable in the Drive user interface.
Kaaya library reference images and uploads, and Kaaya-sourced story-plan reference stills, are not deleted by the generated-creative expiry job. They follow Kaaya storage and renewal rules (Creative Production credits for storage renewal on a cycle of twelve 30-day months from Kaaya creation).
We may retain asset-access and related usage analytics for approximately 180 days. Account, billing, and authentication records may be retained longer as needed to operate the Service, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. The Service does not currently offer a self-serve control that deletes an entire account and all associated media.
We will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.
7. Transfer of Data
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
Our services are hosted on Google Cloud Platform with app servers and user data stored in data centers located in the Frankfurt, Germany cloud region. This means that your data is primarily processed and stored within the European Union, which provides strong data protection regulations under GDPR.
Generation of videos and images may involve transferring prompts, reference images, and related files to subprocessors that provide generation infrastructure (including Google Vertex AI / Veo and Fal.ai) so we can fulfill your requests.
If you are located outside the European Union and choose to provide information to us, please note that we may transfer the data, including Personal Data, to the European Union and process it there.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.
Akazila Inc. will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.
8. Disclosure of Data
We may disclose personal information that we collect, or you provide:
Service Providers
We share data with processors that help us operate Alkanzo, including:
• Stripe, for payment processing of Creative Production credit packs
• Firebase Authentication, for account sign-in
• Google Cloud Platform, for hosting, object storage, and related infrastructure
• Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, for usage analytics
• Video and image generation providers such as Google Vertex AI / Veo and Fal.ai, to produce the creatives you request
Disclosure for Law Enforcement
Under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).
Business Transaction
If we or our subsidiaries are involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred.
Other cases
• To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it
• With your consent in any other cases
• If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our customers, or others
9. Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
10. Your Data Protection Rights
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. Akazila Inc. aims to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data.
If you wish to be informed what Personal Data we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us at hello@app.alkanzo.ai. We may not be able to delete generated media that has already expired under the 180-day policy, and we do not currently offer a self-serve delete-all account control in the product.
In certain circumstances, you have the following data protection rights:
• The right to access, update or to delete the information we have on you
• The right of rectification
• The right to object
• The right of restriction
• The right to data portability
• The right to withdraw consent
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
